The survey found that 28 percent of employees called in ill when they were feeling well, down from 32 percent last year, and that ane in four employers have caught an employee faking sick through social media.

One in five employers fired an employee for calling in sick with a fake alibi.

Of those calling in ill when well, thirty percent said they just didn't feel like going into work, 29 percentage they wanted the day to relax, 21 percent wanted to catch up on sleep, and 11 per centum had bad conditions.

Some workers have disrepair themselves online. Of the 24 per centum of employers who have caught employees having fun on social media when they called in ill, 22 percent have fired the employee, only 54 percent were more forgiving, the survey said.
